Antique Dresser Gets a Strip Down

Originally this antique dresser was painted white, with white knobs edged in gold paint. Then it was semi-stripped and given a dark walnut stain. The client wanted it lightened up, so I completely stripped and sanded it down, revealing some really beautiful grain in the wood. I gave it a light stain to warm it up, and then a gloss to make it “pop”. The knobs were of a denser wood, so they held on to more of the original old stain. This is why the knobs are darker, which actually gives the piece more depth. The client was really thrilled with this piece...more to come (I'm working on 5 pieces for her).

1960's Square Coffee Table

This fabulous piece had been sitting in a storage locker for years. I brought out the details of the triangular wood panels with two different stains, worked on the water damage, and now the table looks better than it did when it was originally purchased.
